Advisory Board

Experienced individuals who guide a startup informally, often for a small equity grant.

Advisors lend expertise, credibility and connections without the legal duties of directors. They’re typically compensated with small option grants (e.g. 0.1–1%) under an advisor agreement. The right advisors can open doors and strengthen a founder’s pitch.
