Series B / C / D

Later, larger funding rounds that fund scaling, expansion and market leadership.

After Series A, companies raise Series B, C, D and beyond to accelerate growth, enter new markets, make acquisitions or prepare for exit. Each round is larger, at a higher valuation, with more institutional investors and tighter performance expectations.

Examples

A scale-up raises a £20m Series B to expand internationally. — A market leader raises Series C to fund acquisitions.
