Elevator Pitch

A 30–60 second summary of your startup compelling enough to spark interest.

Named for the length of an elevator ride, this is a tight verbal summary of what you do, for whom, and why it matters. It must be clear, memorable and jargon-free, often ending with a hook or ask. Founders use it constantly — at events, with investors and when recruiting.

Examples

A founder nails their elevator pitch at a networking event and lands a meeting. — A pitch distilled to one sentence for a cold email.
